1. Negative ‘-isms’

The problem with your standard negative ‘-ism,’ like racism, sexism, and the associated sentiments, is that those unreasonable lines of thinking give a bad name to widespread dislike. Hatred is decidedly not in vogue, much to my dismay.

It’s not cool to hate things! Because people associate it with indiscriminate hate (which is actually reasonably discriminate, isn’t it?) and that’s apparently unacceptable. But what about people who deserve it? Like people who follow Bruce Springsteen around on tour? Haven’t they earned it? So I posit this - not a cessation of hate, as these uber-PC people would encourage, but a redirection of willful energies towards deserving outlets.

Peter N. Michalakis, Esq.

An uncertain impasse... no that would be a decided passe, so to speak, clearly not the case. A certain impasse then. A storm bereft of rain, a father sans child, a warrior with nary a cause to fight for. Be yourself, that's society's mantra, but when you don't like who you are.. well, then what?
